My name is Joanna Pierre Foucard and I have a Bachelor of Arts in Building Conservation from Gothenburg University. My work has taken me from Sweden to Panama and Chile and back. As a certified Colour Consultant and with a passionate love of colours I founded my company Kulör in 2004; since then I have been working with the creation of harmonious environments in both the public and private sectors.
Scandinavian cultural heritage colour products
Kulör now presents a range of organic Swedish colours, wonderful stencils and elegant accessories. These products are produced by people like me who are passionate about creating beautiful and sustainable environments.
'Färg i påse' (Colour in a bag) is oil eggshell which is made from natural, safe and recyclable ingredients. Oil eggshell is easily mixed for use at home, both indoors and outdoors on everything from fabric, wood, wallpaper and cardboard to plaster and metal. ’Färg i påse’ contains egg, linseed oil, water and soil and mineral pigment. Nothing more. Oil eggshell has been used for more than 500 years and is still the beautiful, inexpensive and environmentally-friendly alternative for today’s colour essentials.
The Kulör stencil range is inspired by historical originals with classic motifs from our architectural heritage. The stencils are washable and re-usable and for use on walls, floors, ceilings, fabric and furniture. Many designs are reversible and small parts of the stencil can be used – everything to allow your imagination and creativity to flow.
Vision
Kulör's vision is a sensory and passionate colour concept based on emotions, cultural traditions and creativity with an unexpected promotion strategy. Through exhibiting and offering a taste of Kulör’s products, services and courses where colour is not normally visible, I want to provide a new understanding of the importance of colour and the affinity we have with it.
It is my aspiration to reach out to everyone who enjoys creating beautiful spaces but who isn’t necessarily interested in the latest trends and demands around needing to create a particular, devised style. I embrace diversity and avoid the stress of needing to put together the perfect home. Beauty is found in the poetry of the not yet finished and our personal truths/tastes.
